This site is for drinks lovers and givers; an online platform they can visit to read and enjoy great stories about spirits, their histories and the faces behind the labels.
GreatGins also puts on bespoke offline gin tastings for corporate or social occasions.
Who am I?
My name is Greg, and I’m an avid whisky collector and enthusiast, owner and Editor of both GreatDrams.com and GreatGins.co.uk, and also happen to be a Brand Strategy Consultant.
I created GreatDrams after having enjoyed single malt and blended whiskies over the years, and working with many whisky and other luxury spirits brands so I know about the drinks industry intimately from both sides. Over time I have noticed how tough it can be for amateur tasters and collectors to enter the whisky world in particular and really get an understanding of all things malt (or grain, or rye…).
And now I have expanded this love of spirits into the gin world with GreatGins.
My aim is to democratise gin and whisky and inspire consumers to explore flavours and brands within the market, never settling on just one favourite.
The purpose of GreatGins is to provide a platform with content for people new to drinks and those who are learning about gin as much as those who are more experienced gins fans because, ultimately, those interested in exploring this great drink are under-serviced by the gin industry.
Often gin drinkers have nowhere to send their loved ones for inspirational gift ideas or to share an understanding of one of their great passions.
GreatDrams is the UK’s Food & Drink Blog of the Year for 2017, is ranked in the top five whisky blogs in the world by the International Whisky Competition, was shortlisted for the prestigious IWSC Communicator of the Year 2015 award, and GreatGins is mostly written by the same person, so you’re onto a winner.
