The GreatGins Spirits Tasting Experience

GreatGins, one man’s mission to experience, share and inspire with everything great about gin, has extended its offering to include the GreatGins Spirits Tasting Experience.

GreatGins is the sister-site of GreatDrams.com, an award-winning whisky site, the current UK Food & Drink Blog of the Year, one of the Top Five Whisky Blogs in the World (as declared by the International Whisky Competition) and a UK Blog Awards Highly Commended Lifestyle blog.

Now we are making the GreatGins whisky tasting experience available to you!

Every gin tasting is tailored specifically to your requirements; be it for ten people or fifty, the experience will be unique to you. There are no assumptions about whisky knowledge level, all your attendees need to bring is an open mind, enthusiasm and a willingness to try new things.

The aim for all GreatGins whisky tasting events is for everyone to have a great time and enjoy themselves, hopefully they will also find new styles of gin they like too.

Each person’s attendance includes:

Official GreatGins mat
A 20 minute intro to the history of gin and the format of the event
- Tailored to the theme of the tasting, for example:
  - Gin from different parts of the country
  - International gins
  - Barrel aged gins
  - Limited editions etc.
  - Beginners gin understanding
  - An exploration of London Dry Gin
  - Home nations’ gin (Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales)
  - Japan and the Far East
  - We will be discuss and tailor once you book a whisky tasting with GreatGins
A guided tasting by me through five gins including distillery stories
All gins presented in official Glencairn tasting glasses
There will be an educational side too so everyone will be able to properly nose and drink gin by the end
The opportunity to enjoy more after the official tasting finishes
We even bring all Glencairn glasses with us, clear up and take them all with us again leaving no cleaning or tidying burden to any venues we work with, not bad eh?

Costs per person are dependent on the amount of people attending and the gins we will be sampling i.e. limited edition gins will cost more because of their rarity and inability to try again.
